Janis Andrejevs is a cinematographer born Riga, Latvia, went to film school and lived for almost 10 years in London; now working worldwide. Recently shot feature films in Russia, Mexico and Africa (Sierra Leone).  The projects he has worked on cover a wide range: From high end TV commercials and music videos to feature fiction films and feature documentaries. He has a strong academic background from University of Bedfordshire (BAhons Media Production) and Goldsmiths, University of London (MA Cinematography). Having lived and worked in UK for 10 years and fluent in 3 languages (English, Russian and Latvian) he has a valuable international experience much needed for todays multicultural and multi-language productions. TV spots and music video he has shot have been selected in advertising festivals and received awards. Most recently he was awarded bronze in 2017 film category in prestigious CLIO awards in New York. He is also a passionate photographer. Particularly medium format film photography: street, portrait and landscape.
