Janis Andrejevs is a cinematographer born in Riga, Latvia but went to film school and lived for almost 10 years in London; now working worldwide. He has shot feature films in Russia, Latvia, Mexico and Africa (Sierra Leone). The projects he has worked on cover a wide spectrum: From feature fiction films to award winning TV commercials and music videos as well as full lenght documentaries. He has a strong academic background from University of Bedfordshire (BAhons Media Production) and Goldsmiths, University of London (MA Cinematography). Having lived and worked in UK for 10 years and fluent in 3 languages (English, Russian and Latvian) he has a valuable international experience much needed for todays multicultural and multi-language productions. TV spots and music video he has shot have been selected in advertising festivals and received awards. Most recently he was awarded bronze in 2017 film category in prestigious CLIO awards in New York. He also likes to get involved in independent productions and short films.
